The 2023 Academic Report of Shanghai System Engineering Society was Held in USST

Updated:2023-09-20

On September 20th, the 2023 Shanghai System Engineering Society (SHSES) Academic Report was held in the lecture hall of the conference room II. The seminar was co-hosted by SHSES and USST. More than 70 faculty and students from member institutions of SHSES, as well as system science and other related disciplines of USST, attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Prof. Zhao Laijun, dean of USSTBS and vice chairman of SHSES.

Zhao Laijun presided over the conference

Prof. Li Tao, director of the Department of Intelligent Mathematics, School of Mathematical Sciences, East China Normal University & member of SHSES, gave a report on Distributed Learning and Control of Swarm Intelligent Systems. He shared his research in stochastic and uncertain multi-intelligent systems from the aspects of stochastic distributed collaborative computing, collaborative learning, and collaborative control. This included topics like the convergence condition of stochastic collaborative estimation algorithm and collaborative ability theorem, the collaborative control method under limited communication and small-capacity channel theorem, as well as the source Internet distributed estimation and scheduling algorithm.

Li Tao delivered a report

Gao Yan, Professor of the Department of Systems Science of USSTBS & vice chairman of SHSES, delivered a presentation on Demand Response and Pricing Mechanism of Modern Power System under the Background of Dual Carbon. He discussed the concept of carbon neutrality, explained the smart grid, introduced shadow pricing, and presented the research status of real-time electricity pricing. He also discussed the establishment of models with time coupling constraints, the pricing method of non-diminishing marginal utility, and real-time pricing that takes into account multi-energy complementarity.

Gao Yan delivered a report

This conferencemarks the inaugural lecture in the series of reports on system science disciplines in our university. In the future, our systems science discipline will present additional related seminars.
