On September 12th, 2023, Sheng Chun, deputy secretary of USST Party Committee and vice president of USST, led a visit to SCODA to conduct research and discuss potential cooperation with China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade (SCO-IET). Accompanied by Zhao Laijun, dean of Business School and executive dean of the School of Intelligent Emergency Management (SIEM), He Jianjia, deputy dean of Business School, and Fang Zhiming, secretary-general of SIEM, Sheng Chun and his delegation were warmly received by Hao Guoxin, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of SCODA, and Zheng Shi, president of SCO(Qingdao) Academy of Economy and Trade.
Hao Guoxin introduced the development of SCODA and SCO-IET, while Sheng Chun introduced the development of USST. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation and reached a preliminary consensus on the joint construction of the Business School and the Intelligent Emergency Institute for SCO-IET, the joint creation of a high-level thinktank., and the strengthening of exchanges and brand upgrading.
Before the conference, Sheng Chun and his delegation visited the Qingdao SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, SCO-IET, the SCO Youth Exchange Space, the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Comprehensive Service Platform (SCOCSP), and the SCO International Hub Port, etc. They were accompanied by Jiang Gongbao, an alumnus of USST and co-founder of Long’ai Group.
