Updated:2023-09-11

On September 7th, 2023, Business School conducted the first course on 2023 graduate student research guidance in the first conference room. Deputy Dean Zhang Zheng was invited to give the lecture to new graduate students. The lecture focused on the theme of adhering to scientific ethics and jointly ensuring a respectful and ethical academic environment. It combined academic orientation education with practical guidance for maintaining positive scientific ethics.

Zhang Zheng gave several suggestions based on his own experiences in education, job hunting, and academic research, including conducting academic research to study real problems and to address the country's and society's major needs. He also inspired new students to consider their own personal circumstances, thinking about why they wanted to pursue graduate studies and what they hoped to achieve in the future, and finally finding answers that were suitable for themselves through independent thinking.

In terms of ensuring scientific ethics, Zhang Zheng started with how to make plans for graduate studies. He outlined the importance of scientific ethics in graduate studies and daily life, explained the key principles of scientific ethics, and emphasized the need for an ethical academic environment. He also highlighted common examples of academic misconduct, discussed their negative effects, and suggested specific measures for graduate students to prevent such misconduct. This information is valuable for students to maintain ethical standards in their future scientific research.
