On the afternoon of September 5th, the Trade Union of Business School held a team-building and quality development activity for the 39th Teachers' Day. Dean Zhao Laijun, Party Secretary Ma Jingbo led the team, and nearly a hundred faculty went to Changxing Island to participate in the activity. This activity was sponsored by the USSTBS Trade Union and organized by the Party & Government Affairs Office of Business School.

The faculty members were divided into teams and led by professional coaches. They carried out a variety of ice-breaking activities, unified team goals, created team names and slogans, drew team flags, posed for team photos, and prepared for a series of Outward Bound projects, which tested their physical fitness and psychological strengths.

In team collaboration projects, the faculty members had to cooperate and trust each other to complete various tasks. Everyone leveraged the team's strengths to overcome difficulties. They learned the importance of teamwork through the Racing Caterpillar game; the Work Together Drum effectively promoted collaboration and communication among team members; the No Collapsing Forest game cultivated the team's ability to unite, assist, and focus; the Happy Swing enlivened the activity’s atmosphere.

After the ice-breaking and quality development activities, the faculty came to Changxing Island Country Park to take a bamboo raft tour. They were accompanied by park staff who introduced the scenic area. The faculty members enjoyed the beautiful scenery as the bamboo raft slowly moved along.

Young faculty Fu Wenhan said, This type of activity is a great way to spend a relaxed and enjoyable day with colleagues after work; it enhances each other’s understanding in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, improves team collaboration ability; we enjoy the natural scenery, and gain physical and mental relaxation; it is better for us to immerse ourselves in education and teaching work.

Liu Qinming, chairman of the Trade Union of Business School said: This activity is a carefully planned team-building event to celebrate Teachers' Day. These activities aim to help faculty members relax physically and mentally, and enhance their sense of belonging and cohesion. In the future, the school will continue to hold similar team-building activities to provide faculty with more opportunities for communication and relaxation, promote the construction and development of the teaching team, inspire everyone to keep moving forward, and then contribute to building an international first-class business school.
