From July 28th to July 29th, 2023, the 20th Annual Academic and Work Conference of the SESC Education Systems Engineering Technical Committee, sponsored by the SESC Education Systems Engineering Technical Committee, organised by Tianjin University of Finance and Economics and co-organized by Business School of USST was held in Tianjin.
The theme of this conference is "Chinese Modernization and Education Systems Engineering" leaders and experts from nearly 20 universities and scientific research institutes, including Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji University, Dalian University of Technology, Donghua University, Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, etc., attended the conference.Prof. Zhao Laijun, dean of the Business School, was invited to serve as the chairman of the conference's Academic Committee, and Prof. He Jianjia, vice dean of the Business School, was invited to serve as the chairman of the Organizing Committee and general secretary of the conference.
Prof. Liu Jinlan, Party secretary and president; Han Shaobo, vice president of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches; Prof. Xu Xiaodong, vice president of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Hu Xiangpei, Dalian University of Technology, were invited to make special academic reports on "Digital Public Governance and Its Application in Higher Education" and "Experience and Reflections on Interdisciplinary Integration and Team Building" respectively.
Prof. Liu Jinlan, Prof. Zhao Laijun, Prof. Zhang Yi, dean of the School of Public Administration of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Prof. Ni Ming, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, and Prof. Tian Huwei, vice dean of the Office of Science & Technology, Henan University of Science and Technology, delivered reports entitled "Digital Literacy and Skills Training of Finance and Economics Students" "Experiences and Reflections on Organized Scientific Research in Liberal Arts Colleges" "The impact of ChatGTP Technology on the Education System and Its Countermeasures" "The Construction of Undergraduate Majors and Its Characteristics" and "The Evaluation of the Results of Decision-making Consultation: Current Situation, Problems and Countermeasures" respectively in the conference.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, the conference invited reports, and the conference reports were presided over by professors Hu Xiangpei, Liu Jinlan and Zhao Laijun, respectively. The participating experts and scholars had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the theme of the reports.

Special research
During the conference, Prof. Liu Jinlan, director of the Special Committee, presided over a directors' meeting to summarise, study, and deploy the work carried out this year and the plan for next year. At the conference's closing ceremony, attending experts and scholars discussed a series of issues, such as the Special Committee's high-quality development, expanding the special committee's social service and influence, and innovating the annual conference activities.
