On the afternoon of July 7th, 2023, He Yi, division director, Huang Xiaoyan, deputy division director, Xu Fang, Chen Rong, and other team members of the Emergency Management Department of Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention came to Business School to visit and exchange. Zhao Laijun, dean of the Business School and executive dean of the School of Intelligent Emergency Management, received and held discussions and exchanges. Qian Ying, professor of the Department of Systems Science, Liu Qinming, dean of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Liu Dan, Huang He, Zhou Lixin, Li Jiming, and other teachers' representatives attended the symposium, which was presided over by Zhao Laijun.


Zhao Laijun introduced the situation of the Business School and the School of Intelligent Emergency Management. He Yi introduced the basic situation of the Emergency Management Office of the Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The attending teachers introduced the situation and achievements of their respective research. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the construction of public health emergency operation systems in megacities, focusing on the Three-year Action Plan for Strengthening the Construction of Public Health System in Shanghai (2023-2025) issued by the Shanghai Municipal Government.


The two sides discussed the construction of a health emergency operation platform that combines peace and emergency, as well as the research and policy recommendations on the operation and management mechanism of the urban public health and safety emergency operation platform. They also exchanged valuable experience in deep cooperation in future scientific research and teaching fields.


After the symposium, He Yi and his delegation visited the Intelligent Emergency Management Laboratory. During the visit, the two sides conducted further exchanges on how to apply AR/VR and simulation technology to carry out emergency management training in the future and develop emergency drills under different scenarios.
