Xue Jian, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Provided Counselling for the Teachers of Our School to Apply for the National Social Science Later-Stage Funding Project

On the evening of July 2nd, 2023, Xue Jian, vice dean of the School of Economics and Management of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, gave counselling for the teachers of our school to apply for the National Social Science Later-Stage Funding Project. The counselling was presided over by the vice dean, He Jianjia of Business SchoolDean Zhao Laijun attended the meeting, and more than 10 teachers participated. The counselling lasted from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., four hours without interruption.


He Jianjia expressed that it was a great honour to invite Xue Jian to provide application counselling for our school's teachers and briefly introduced the application and approval status of national-level projects such as the National Social Science Later-Stage Funding Project in recent years.


Xue Jian explained the relationship and difference between later-stage funding and early-stage funding, the characteristics and advantages, the historical project approvals data, and the precautions for filling in the declaration form of National Social Science Funding.


The applicants had one-on-one counselling in turn. In addition to the form of the application, Xue Jian focused on the introduction of the application results and gave detailed guidance in eight sections: main contents, main viewpoints, research methods, academic innovation, academic value, existing problems, and parts that need to be improved, unfinished chapters, next research plans—then answered questions from each teacher one by one.


In the future, the school will continue to organise various project application counselling to help teachers improve the quality of applications, enhance confidence in applications, and strive for more project approvals.
