Business School Held the Second conference of the Sixth Faculty and Staff Congress

On June 20th, 2023, the second conference of the sixth Faculty and Staff Congress of Business School was held in the lecture hall of the second Conference Room of Economic Management Building A. The leading group members of the Party and Government and representatives of the Faculty and Staff Congress attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Yan Ling, the Trade union chairman of the school.

The conference started with the solemn national anthem. Dean Zhao Laijun made the work report and financial report of the school. He summarised and reviewed the school's work since 2021 from the aspects of development strategy, school-running performance assessment, faculty, internationalisation construction, discipline construction, scientific research, talent training, school (government) enterprise cooperation, social service and influence, and financial revenue and expenditure. He said that in recent years, Business School had made great progress and development in various aspects, especially in developing disciplines and introducing talents.

Ma Jingbo, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, made a revised explanation of the Business School Performance Assessment Distribution Plan in 2023, and vice presidents Zhao Jing, Zhang Zheng and He Jianjia made detailed revised explanations of the Performance Assessment Distribution Plan of their respective responsibilities respectively.

The representatives were divided into three groups and discussed the Business School Performance Assessment Distribution Plan(draft). Based on fully promoting democracy, the representatives spoke freely and fully discussed the content of the Plan (draft). After each group gathered the opinions and suggestions of the teacher representatives. The group leaders,whom 3 presiding teachers represented, reported their opinions and suggestions to the conference, and some teacher representatives made supplements. Ma Jingbo, Zhao Jing, Zhang Zheng, and He Jianjia responded to the opinions and suggestions put forward by each group and decided to adjust the calculation method of teaching error performance points in the calculation method of teaching achievement points, etc. which were concentrated on the opinions of the representatives, and formed the Business School Performance Assessment Distribution Plan (voted).

The attending representatives raised their hands to approve the list of scrutineers and vote counter. After Li Ying, Liang Yan and Xu Jing checked and counted the votes, 38 of the 45 representatives finally voted in favour of the revised Business School Performance Assessment Distribution Plan  (voted) based on the draft.


Ma Jingbo expressed gratitude to all the faculty and staff for their contributions to the development of the school in his concluding speech. He said that the representatives of this conference jointly discussed the important work of the development and reform of the school and fully expressed their opinions and suggestions on the school work. At present, the construction of a high-level university of our university has entered a critical stage, and it is also the best stage for us to work hard. We must earnestly study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, strengthen the construction of faculty, promote institutional innovation, optimise the allocation of resources, improve the education level, widely mobilise the enthusiasm of teachers and students, and jointly build a civilised and harmonious university. As long as we conscientiously implement the Faculty and Staff Congress system and manage democratically, collective wisdom and efforts, we will be able to promote the rapid development of the school.
