Prof. Fan Chongjun of Our School Delivered a Keynote Report at the 2023 Global E-commerce Conference (Shanghai)

As an authoritative brand event in China's internet, e-commerce, and digital economy industries, the Global E-commerce Conference is held annually. Thespecial forums are held in key cities, radiating and affecting multiple provinces and cities. This event is the Shanghai special forum held by the Global E-commerce Conference in transport logistics China, with the theme of "Sharing TheNew Opportunities ofE-commerce Logistics of'Dual Circulation' ".


The forum was held in Conference room N1-M40 of Transport logistic China on June 15th, 2023. Huang Yue, Secretary-General of Shanghai Pudong New Area E-commerce Association, Prof. Fan Chongjun, dean of E-commerce Research Institution of USST. Mr Feng Jie, President of Shanghai Sea Chamber of Commerce; Mr Liu Xiaofeng, overseas logistics solutions expert of Shopline Logistics; Ding Yijun, general manager of Shanghai Qixiang Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., Mr Wang Yiming, senior consultant of Shanghai Joysun Logistics Co., LTD, visiting Prof. of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Liu Dawei, general manager of Yangoo Cross-border Business Compliance Platform, Prof. Yao Dawei, managing director of China Society of Logistics, and vice president of Shanghai Sipo Polytechnic, were invited to deliver reports as keynote speakers in turn.


The participants went deep into the upstream and downstream industry chain of Cross-border e-commerce, discussed logistics supply chain, digital economy, digital trade and other aspects, covering topics such as the pain points of e-commerce enterprises in Cross-border e-commerce logistics and the overall solution of Intelligent Logistics System under the Cross-border new retail model. The sub-forums were broadcast live on the Internet simultaneously, and the meeting received a warm response.



Huang Yue delivered a speech at the beginning of the conference. From the "mixed feelings" perspective of Cross-border e-commerce, Huang Yue elaborated on the advantages and disadvantages of the current environment affecting the development of Cross-border e-commerce, expressed the determination to deeply study and practice to promote the development of Cross-border e-commerce, and actively create a better future of Cross-border e-commerce digital commerce.

Next, Fan Chongjun delivered a report with the theme of "Analysis of China's Digital Economy Development". Fan Chongjun, the co-founder of the Global E-commerce Conference brand, briefly introduced the historical background and the organisation of activities of the Global E-commerce Conference in recent years. Then, he analysed the concept and development of the digital economy. He pointed out that the development of the digital economy and Cross-border e-commerce is closely related to and inseparable from the logistics supply chain. Finally, Fan Chongjun analysed the current situation and prospect of China's digital economy development by interpreting "the 13th Five-Year Plan" and "the 14th Five-Year Plan" and other documents, observing the digital economy value added and growth rate data.

Feng Jie shared a report with "New Opportunities for Small and Medium Types Enterprises Cross-border E-commerce Conducting Business" as a theme. He answered the question of "What Opportunities Should Enterprises Seize in the mixed Cross-border E-commerce Environment" from four aspects: market, platform, new technology, and talent. He pointed out that although the global economic trend has declined and is sluggish, the service system of Cross-border E-commerce has been thriving.

Liu Xiaofeng delivered a report with the theme of "OneShip Solves Logistics Pain Points for Small and Medium Types Sellers ". He presented detailed OneShip's powerful radiation capability and quality service experience from the development process of OneShip to make everyone a clear understanding of the global intelligent logistics services.

Ding Yijun delivered a report titled "Brand Localization - Cross-border E-commerce 3.0 Opportunities and Challenges ". She believed that we could better achieve brand localisation by doing a good job of cultural, product, channel, channel, and local identity.

Wang Yiming delivered a report titled "Development and Practice of Cross-border E-commerce Industry". Firstly, he sorted out the concept of Cross-border e-commerce. Secondly, he pointed out the importance of logistics for Cross-border e-commerce; logistics may arrive before the goods, and integration of logistics, capital flow, information flow and business flow. Finally, he stated the benefits of changing Cross-border trade methods by "the Cross-border trade case of a manufacturing enterprise under the dual circulation".

Liu Dawei delivered a report titled "Cross-border E-commerce Conduct Business Should Comply with the Regulations". He pointed out that sellers' awareness of financial and tax compliance could be stronger, and e-commerce enterprises face problems such as a wide variety of business types, no invoices in some businesses, and excessive reliance on freight forwarders. He gave a one-stop service for the problems, and the enterprises would comply with Cross-border transformation with full link assistance.

Yao Dawei delivered a report titled "Focusing on the development of digital trade and training digital trade talents". First, he pointed out that the new content of cross-border e-commerce professional teaching standards is compliance and trade risk prevention from the perspective of cross-border e-commerce teaching. Then he pointed out the concepts, opportunities and challenges of digital trade. Finally, he analysed from the perspective of organisational model change and believed that we should promote the implementation of digital trade majors and pay attention to the training of digital trade-related talents.
