Han Yin, the leader of the transportation engineering discipline of USST, led a team to the School of Transportation and Civil Engineering of Nantong University(NTU) for exchange on June 6th, 2023. Zhao Jing, vice dean; Liu Weiwei, director of the Department of Traffic System Engineering; Yao Jiao, secretary of the Party branch; Wang Jiawen, deputy director of the Departmentof Business School, participated in the event.Han Yin and his delegation held a lecture on the Transportation Summer camp of USST in NTU to fully publicise the enrollment of graduate students in Transportation Engineering at our university and also discussed the latest researches progress in the field of transportation and the cooperation between the two universities.Shi Quan,vice president of NTU and dean of the School of Transportation and Civil Engineering; Zhang Lili, secretary; Chen Yan,deputy secretary; Shao Yeqin, vice dean; Chen Min, vice dean; Gao Ruifeng, director of the Department of Intelligent Transportation System and faculty representatives of the School of Transportation and Civil Engineeringparticipated in the event.
Shiquan welcomed Han Yin and his delegation and looked forward to strengthening cooperation and exchanges between the two universities' transportation disciplines. Han Yin and his delegation visited the traffic control system integration laboratory, traffic virtual simulation laboratory, traffic big data analysis laboratory and unmanned driving laboratory of NTU Intelligent Transportation Comprehensive Training Center and gave comments on the scientific and technological innovation achievements of NTU undergraduates.

Next, Han Yin and his delegation gave a lecture to undergraduates of NTU, introduced the current situation of USST and the development history of the Transportation Engineering Discipline, and highly recognised the comprehensive ability of NTU graduates studying at USST. The students at the scene had a warm exchange with Han Yin, and the humorous answers of Han Yin also aroused the students' strong interest. Then, Zhao Jing, vice dean of the Business School of USST, introduced the training of students in the Transportation Engineering Discipline of USST and introduced the outstanding representatives of NTU graduates who have studied transportation at USST in detail. Zhao Jing also made an academic report entitled "Optimization Design and 2D Trajectory Modeling of Urban Road Intersections" for undergraduates majoring in Traffic Engineering at NTU, systematically showed his academic growth process and creative achievements since the doctoral stage, and encouraged students to strive to improve themselves and be innovative in the student stage.

At last, Han Yin and his delegation discussed with Zhang Lili, Chen Yan, Shao Yeqin, Chen Min, Gao Ruifeng and faculty representatives from the School of Transportation and Civil Engineering of NTU. Zhang Lili detailed the history and latest construction progress of the School of Transportation and Civil Engineering of NTU and the Transportation Engineering Discipline, including the scale of student training and faculty team. Han Yin said that the transportation disciplines of NTU developed rapidly, and he introduced the development of the transportation disciplines of USST in detail, starting from Prof.Fan Bingquan's cooperation in the Sino-Canadian laboratory in the 1980s, introduced the experience of the rapid development of the transportation disciplines in recent years with the support of USST. The two sides also exchanged experience on the constructions of their respective disciplines and faculty team, talent training, student employment and other aspects, and indicated that they would continue to deepen cooperation and exchanges between the two universities.

This exchange visit not only carried out full publicity work for the enrollment of Transportation Engineering graduate students in our university but also promoted the academic exchanges between USST and NTU and built an important platform for promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
