From May 19 to 21, President Ding Xiaodong led a delegation to attend the 7th China Systems Science Conference in Chongqing. Academician Xue Yusheng, Distinguished Professor and PhD Supervisor of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Gu Chunhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Zhao Laijun, Dean of Business School, Gao Yan, leader of the discipline of systems science, and more than 40 teachers and students from Business School accompanied the team to attend the conference.
The conference attracted more than 1200 leaders, guests, experts and scholars from more than 200 units at home and abroad. The conference focused on the core contents of system methodology, system evolution, system cognition, system regulation, system engineering and other related disciplines. A total of 1009 papers were accepted and compiled into the program book for group presentations, including 603 oral presentations in 78 groups and 406 posted presentations. The conference also specially set up pre-conference lectures, conference reports, conference thematic discussions and other links. Among them, Academician Yusheng Xue gave a pre-conference conference report entitled Seamless Integration of Holistic Reduction Thinking on Holistic Entropy Preservation and Reduction of Entropy Reduction.

On May 20, Ding Xiaodong, the convener of the 8th System Science Discipline Review Group and the president of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, delivered a speech for the opening ceremony of the conference. In his speech, Ding Xiaodong pointed out that the China Systems Science Conference has become the most influential and authoritative academic exchange platform in the field of systems science in China, which is of great significance in promoting the development and integration of system discipline exchange, promoting the construction of system discipline and new directions and fields of system discipline research. In the future, the Systems Science Discipline Review Group will continue to support the development of the China Systems Science Conference, adhere to the system concept, use the system concept to deal with the difficult problems facing the development of China, and plan for the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernization country. We hope that the participants from all walks of life will communicate and cooperate deeply, and jointly promote the development of the academic frontier in the field of systems science in China and the upward development of the whole system discipline field.
