Provost of Singapore Management University, Mr. Wei Guoji and His Delegation Visited Business School

On May 9, Prof. Wei Guoji, Provost of Singapore Management University (SMU) and his delegation visited Business School, together with Zhang Hao, General Manager of SMU China. Sheng Chun, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University, and Ma Jingbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Business School, received the delegation and held a discussion. Xu Jingwei, Director of the International Exchange Office, Liu Yuan, Head of the International Exchange Section, and representatives from the faculty of Business School attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Ma Jingbo. 

First of all, Sheng Chun expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Prof. Wei Guoji and his delegation, and expressed the full affirmation and high attention of the university to the AACSB re-certification work of Business School. Wei Guoji reviewed his ten-year relationship with our university in the light of his working experience; at the same time, he introduced the development profile of Singapore Management University (SMU) and its cooperation mode with international famous universities. Zhang Hao introduced the responsibilities of Singapore Management University in China and the Shanghai office. 

The two sides then discussed the upcoming cooperation between the two schools, including faculty exchange activities, student cooperation training program enrollment, training programs, mutual recognition of course credits, and program fees. 

After the meeting, Prof. Wei Guoji listened to the preparation of AACSB in detail and gave guidance on the preparation of AACSB re-accreditation with his valuable experience in AACSB accreditation for many years, and previewed several group talks, including AoL and curriculum management talk, teaching effectiveness and impact talk, young teachers talk, and students talk. Through the previews, Prof. Wei Guogi made targeted comments and suggestions on our AACSB reaccreditation preparation work, which provided valuable references for Business School to meet the on-site assessment of AACSB reaccreditation.
