On April 11, 2023, the Ministry of Education released the “Announcement on the Recognition Results of the Second Batch of National First Class Undergraduate Courses”, and the course, Finance, led by Professor Sun Yingjun of our school won the second batch of national first class undergraduate courses. The teaching team of the “Finance” course has always adhered to the teaching philosophy of “student-centered” and actively explored curriculum teaching reform. Adopting a mixed online and offline teaching method, combining theoretical teaching, case teaching, student free discussion, and course experiment simulation, organizing students to participate in course practice and competition both on and off campus, effectively improving students’ learning effectiveness from three aspects of “knowledge, ability, and quality”. At the same time, integrate ideological and political education into the teaching of the course “Finance” to achieve ideological and political education and moral education. A series of achievements have been made in the construction of the course “Finance”: in 2017, it was rated as a key course in Shanghai; In 2018, it was rated as a high-quality course in Shanghai; In 2019, it was awarded the “Course Ideological and Political Navigation Course” and high-quality online course of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USST); In 2020, it was awarded the Excellent Demonstration Course of Ideological and Political Education of USST; In 2021, it was rated as the first-class online and offline hybrid course of USST. In the same year, the achievements related to ideological and political education of finance courses won the first prize of excellent teaching achievements of USST. On the occasion of the “Finance” course being recognized as a national first-class undergraduate course in 2023, the course team will take this as a starting point to further deepen the teaching reform of the “Finance” course and cultivate first-class talents with first-class courses.
