Su Zhou, Vice General Manager of Shanghai International Group (Hong Kong) Limited and Outstanding Alumnus, Came to School to Give a Report

In the afternoon of April 21, the Business School invited Su Zhou, Vice General Manager of Shanghai International Group (Hong Kong) Limited and the outstanding alumni of the university to give a presentation. Situ Weier, Deputy Director of the Planning and Development Office and Alumni Liaison Office, andPu Yingying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, attended the presentation.

Focusing on the theme of the underlying logic and preliminary thoughts on action strategies for the integration of education, profession, employment, occupation and career, Su Zhou first analyzed the unprecedented changes in the world landscape in the new era and pointed out that on the way to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, young people should have a blueprint and path in their minds, goals and tasks in their hearts, missions and responsibilities on their shoulders and strategic resources in their hands. Combining the stories of the 13 delegates of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and his own personal experience in studying, he elaborated that personal development is closely related to the future of the country, and that one's ideal career should be combined with the fate of the nation.

Afterwards, Su Zhou explained the historical changes of talent standards, analyzed the current standards of talent training and selection system, and emphasized that youth should have a sense of family and country, learn to introspect and think with dialectical development. Through the five levels of learning effect and communication, he encouraged students not to stop at shallow understanding and reception, but to keep digging deeper in order to reach a higher level of learning and combine it with practice, and then achieve greater breakthroughs.

Finally, Su Zhou gave specific advice and guidance to the students on the selection of employers and regions, how to achieve and carry effective information and results in the resume, the framework and elements of the interview, and had a lively and effective interactive exchange with the students on the scene.

After the lecture, students expressed that the report had both theoretical knowledge and practical guidance; it had both historical facts and analysis of the current situation, and was well-reasoned and beneficial. The students resolved to follow the example of the outstanding alumni, firmly believe in their ideals, actively engage in practice, integrate their future development into the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and contribute to the comprehensive construction of a modernized socialist country.
