On the afternoon of April 6, 2023, Yang Xiaoguang, the Chairman of the China Society of Systems Engineering, personally went to Shanghai to present the award to Professor Che Hong'an from USST, the winner of the 6th Lifetime Achievement Award in Systems Science and Systems Engineering. Ma Jingbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School of USST, Gao Yan, Head of Systems Science, and Zhi Luping, Director of the Office of the Shanghai Institute of Systems Science, attended the award ceremony.
The Lifetime Achievement Award established by the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering is the highest award of the System Science and System Engineering Science and Technology Award. The System Science and System Engineering Science and Technology Award aims to recognize individuals who have made innovative theoretical achievements in the field of systems science and system engineering or have made significant social or economic benefits in the field of systems science and system engineering. Previous winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award include Academician Liu Yuanzhang, Academician Wang Yingluo, Academician Wang Zhongtuo, Researcher Yu Jingyuan, Academician Chen Hanfu, Academician Dai Ruwei, Researcher Gu Jifa, Academician Yang Shanlin, and Professor Chen Xikang.
On November 26, 2022, the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering presented the 6th Lifetime Achievement Award for Systems Science and Systems Engineering in Dalian. Professor Che Hong'an from Shanghai University of Technology and Professor Wang Hao from the University of National Defense Technology were both awarded the award. Due to the conditions at the time, Professor Che Hong'an was unable to personally go to the scene to receive the award. Yang Xiaoguang, Chairman of the China Society of Systems Engineering, visited Professor Che Hong'an's home in Shanghai this time to personally award the award to Professor Che, and had a long academic exchange with him.
