In the afternoon of February 21, the commendation meeting of the Business School was held in the first conference room of Building A of the Business School. Sheng Chun, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, members of the leadership team of the school and all teachers of the school attended the conference. The award ceremony was hosted by Cui Menglin, a young teacher from the Department of Information Management and Information Systems.
Ma Jingbo, secretary of the Party Committee of the business school, introduced the schedule of the meeting, the leaders attended, the host of the meeting, and expressed warm welcome and heartful thanks to all the leaders and teachers for coming.
In order to commend teachers who have performed well in teaching, research, cultivation, culture, service and anti-epidemic in the past year, and call on all teachers to learn from the excellence and help the development of the school to a new level, the school awarded Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Award to 7 people including Ji Li et al., Contribution to Teaching Award to 13 people including Wang Xiaopeng et al., Outstanding Contribution to Research Award to 7 people including Ye Chunming et al. and Contribution to Research Award to 13 people including Liu Dan et al., Outstanding Contribution to cultivation student to 4 people including Liu Qinming et al., Contribution to cultivation student to 16 people, including Yu Qianlong et al., Contribution to Culture development to 10 people, including Wang Qujian et al., Contribution to Service to 10 people, including Ma Yan et al., and the Outstanding Contribution to the Fight against Epidemics Award to 10 people, including Feng Danyang et al. and the Contribution to the Fight against Epidemics Award to 10 people, including Ma Shujiao et al.
Shen Chun expressed genuine congratulations to the outstanding teachers awarded. He pointed out that in the past 2022, the Business School had achieved distinguished results in overcoming the epidemic and had made significant breakthroughs in discipline development. He stated three hopes to encourage the faculty. First, to reinforce learning, constantly improve the political awareness, enhance the four consciousness, strengthen four self-confidence, to achieve the two maintenance, condensing our heart with the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and Xi Jinping thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Secondly, we should take the initiative to serve the development strategy of the university and contribute to the milestones of high-level university construction of the USST. Third, reform and innovation to promote the overall development of the school.
Dean Zhao Laijun reviewed the highlights of the school in 2022 with the theme of Tribute to 2022, Sailing to 2023 from the aspects of party building, discipline development, internationalization, faculty building, scientific research and talent cultivation, and etc. He also deployed tasks for the new semester from the aspects of scientific research, teaching, social service and cultural construction.
Ma Jingbo made the final comment. He mentioned that the school had made good achievements in all aspects in the past year with the joint efforts of the whole faculty and students. He hoped that, in the new semester, all teachers would keep the spirit of entrepreneurship, concentrate their efforts, take initiatives, push the school to a new height, and make more and greater contributions to the development of the USST.
