On February 20, 2023, the first meeting of the Steering Committee of the China Systems Science Conference in 2023 was held at USST in a combined online and offline form. Members of the Steering Committee of the China Systems Science Conference, special guests, and representatives of the organizer of the 7th China Systems Science Conference attended this meeting.
First of all, the meeting heard the introduction of Chongqing Jiaotong University, the organizer of the 7th China System Science Conference, on the preparations for the conference. This agenda was hosted by academician Guo Lei, the director of the Steering Committee of the 7th China Systems Science Conference. On behalf of the organizer, Yi Zhijian, vice President of Chongqing Jiaotong University expressed his sincere thanks to the Steering Committee of China Systems Science Conference for its guidance and assistance. Wang Qilin, dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Chongqing Jiaotong University, made a comprehensive report on the preparation of the conference, and proposed the selected experts for conference plenary session, the conference agenda, the conference invitation letter and etc. for approval. The experts at the meeting discussed in detail about the preparation of the conference, and provide guidance and valuable suggestions.
After that, the participated experts discussed the “Basic Requirements for the Application of Authorization Points for Systems Science Degree”. This agenda was chaired by President Ding Xiaodong of USST. Duan Xiaojun from National University of Defense Technology, secretary-general of the 8th Discipline Review Group of Systems Science, introduced the consultation on the “Basic Requirements for Application of Authorization Points for Systems Science Degree”. The experts discussed the Basic Requirement for Application of Authorization Points from the aspects of secondary discipline and characteristics, discipline team, talent cultivation and cultivation environment and conditions.
