On December 11, 2022, the 2022 Annual Conference of Shanghai Nonlinear Science Research Association was successfully held in Shanghai after thorough preparations, which was hosted by Shanghai Nonlinear Science Research Association and organized by the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. The conference attracted more than 90 members and guests from Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University, Tongji University, Shanghai University, East China University of Science and Technology, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Donghua University. Meanwhile, it was launched online in the form of real-time live broadcast.
Since its establishment in 1993, the Shanghai Nonlinear Science Research Association has been adhering to the purpose of actively promoting the development and application of nonlinear science, uniting the majority of scientific and technical workers in the field of nonlinear science, carrying out many tasks in academic exchange, scientific popularization, social services, and organizational construction, and contributing to the promotion of communication and development in the field of nonlinear science and urban construction.
The annual meeting was divided into two sessions, the opening ceremony of the meeting was held in the morning, and experts in related fields were invited to make wonderful reports and academic exchanges; in the afternoon, the working meeting of the Council of the Research Association was held. In the morning of December 11, Prof. Huang Guoxiang from East China Normal University, Chairman of the Research Association, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech to express his sincere welcome to the guests attending the annual meeting. Prof. Huang Guoxiang introduced the development of nonlinear science, the history of the Nonlinear Research Association, and summarized and looked forward to the achievements of the Association in the past year and the future work. Prof. Zhao Laijun, Dean of the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizer, introducing the basic situation of the school to the guests and expressing his sincere gratitude to the leaders and friends who have cared, guided and helped the development of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology for a long time. In the annual meeting report, Han Jingti, professor and doctoral supervisor from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Gu Changgui, director of the research association and professor and doctoral supervisor from Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Qiu Xipeng, professor from School of Computer Science of Fudan University, gave academic reports on the application of nonlinear scientific theories in different research fields. The experts and scholars exchanged and discussed the academic reports of the three professors and the related nonlinear science problems, and discussed the new directions, practical applications and future development of nonlinear scientific research together.

The Shanghai Nonlinear Science Research Association focuses on the frontier of nonlinear science in the new era, which plays a great role in promoting the discipline development and internal construction of nonlinear science, and its annual academic conference is of great significance in promoting the synergistic development of nonlinear science theory and cross-application research. As one of the founding members of the Shanghai Nonlinear Science Research Association, four professors from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology are directors of the Association, and many teachers and students are members of the Association, and actively hosted this annual meeting.
