The Department of International Economics and Trade Successfully Held a Promotional Meeting for the 2023 National Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition

On December 7, the 2023 National Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition promotional meeting was held in the fourth-floor lecture hall of the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Teacher He Wen, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department, Teacher Tang Qiao, the main person in charge of the International Trade Competition, Teacher. Yang Le, the team of tutors, and more than 50 students attended the promotional meeting. The meeting was hosted by Zuo Jiachen, the head of International Trade Competition club.

 

At the meeting, He Wen firstly introduced the International Trade Competition to the students present, and then actively motivated for the next year's school competition, hoping that all students could actively participate in the school competition and select more excellent teams for the Shanghai competition.

 

 Tang Qiao introduced the International Trade Competition to the students, including the competition modules, the awards of our students and teachers in the city, national and world finals, the employment and further education of some students who participated in the competition, etc.

Another important part of the presentation was the participation experience sharing by the representatives who won the Grand Prize and First Prize at the 2022 National Final. They shared their experience in the whole process of preparation and competition for the students on site. This is a good tradition of passing on the experience to others that has been formed in the International Trade Competition for many years. The students in the audience expressed that they had gained a lot. 

The Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition is a platform for comprehensive cross-disciplinary practical training and innovative practice in the field of higher business education in China, and is also the largest and highest-level international trade professional field event in China. Since 2014, more than 70 teams from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology have participated in the city, national and world finals, with a total of more than 600 students, winning more than 90 awards, including 18 grand prizes, 27 first prizes and 25 second prizes. University of Shanghai for Science and Technology has won the Best Organization Award for many times, and the instructor has been awarded Excellent Instructor.

This promotion meeting is the prelude to the 2023 International Trade Competition. We hope that with the joint efforts of the participating teachers and students, the competition will be brilliant again and achieve excellent results in the coming year.
