On December 7, Jiang Zhixiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Bank of China Yangpu Sub-branch, gave a lecture on Commercial Banking and Operations to the undergraduate students of finance in Business School. Zhang Yuanyang, Vice President of Bank of China Yangpu Branch, Liu Qin, Director of the Institutional Business Department, Ma Jingbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Business School, Zhang Ting, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Finance, and Zhang Qinglong, Director of the Department of Finance, attended the course.
In the lecture, Jiang Zhixiang took Bank of China as an example to talk about the history of the development of China's financial industry and the prominent role of the financial industry in the process of China's reform and opening up, combined with vivid real cases, and explained the theoretical knowledge of Commercial Banking and Operation in depth, so that the students deepened their understanding of the theory and practice of commercial bank operation and management, and felt the patriotism, responsibility and professionalism of financial people in the past generations. President Jiang Zhixiang also explained the important role of excellent cultural inheritance in career development by taking the example of the outstanding alumnus of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Mrs. Bei Lvjia. He also gave guidance to finance students on how to carry out career planning, advised them to learn to think differently in work and life, to win the future with high emotional intelligence and a big pattern, and reminded them to strictly abide by the professional bottom line of the finance industry and not to make mistakes of principle in the future. Finally, he used Hegel's famous quote, Life is valuable only when the goal has value. Only a valuable goal can create a valuable life, he said to the students to sail for your dreams and make your dreams come true.

Liang Na said that through this class, she had more reflections on her life, especially in career planning. Zhang Hongyuan said that the class gave her great inspiration for personal development and that she should learn to grasp opportunities in time and strive to improve her strengths to lay the foundation for career development. Xie Cheng said that the class had touched him a lot, and he had a deeper understanding of career planning and professionalism, and had more expectations for his future life.
In September this year, Bank of China Shanghai Branch and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology started to build the Bank of China Huigu industry-education integration training base. The Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and Bank of China Yangpu sub-Branch signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on talent training and hired Bank of China executives and experts such as Jiang Zhixiang as invited lecturers of finance courses. The Department of Finance of the Business School continues to optimize the curriculum system, setting aside special content modules in a series of courses and inviting guest lecturers from Bank of China to the school on a regular basis.
