The 11th General Assembly of Systems Engineering Society of China (SESC), and the 22nd Chinese Congress of Systems Science and Systems Engineering was held in Dalian from November 26 to 27, 2022 both online and offline with the them of System View in the New Era.
At this meeting, SESC awarded the Science and Technology Award for Systems Science and Systems Engineering, and Prof. Che Hongan from BS-USST was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. In the general meeting of the current member, President Ding Xiaodong was elected vice president of the Chinese Congress of Systems Science and Systems Engineering, and Prof. Zhao Laijun and Prof. Liu Bin were elected directors of the congress.
As the affiliated unit of Education System Engineering Committee of SESC, Business School hosted the session of Education System Engineering in the New Era and the 19th Annual Conference of Education System Engineering Committee. In the general meeting of the members of the Professional Committee of Educational System Engineering, Prof. Zhao Laijun was re-elected as Vice Director and Secretary General of the Professional Committee of Educational System Engineering, and Prof. He Jianjia was re-elected as Vice Secretary General. In the seminar, Prof. Zhao gave a report on Problems and Countermeasures of College Employment in the New Era and Prof. He gave a report on Exploring the Construction of Civic Politics in Business Administration Courses in the Background of the New Era.
Prof. Qian Ying presided over the opening ceremony of the session of Innovations in System Dynamics Theory and Practice and gave the closing speech, and also presented a report on Research on Epidemic Prevention and Control Policy Based on System Dynamics.
The Professional Committee of SESC Water Conservancy Systems Technical Committee and the Professional Committee of SESC Agricultural Systems Engineering Technical Committee also held their working meetings. Prof. Zhao was again elected as the deputy director of the SESC Water Conservancy Systems Technical Committee and Prof. Liu Bin was elected as the deputy director of the Professional Committee of SESC Agricultural Systems Engineering Technical Committee.
The Systems Engineering Society of China (SESC) is a national society, and was initiated and prepared by 21 experts and scholars of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology including Qian Xuesen, Song Jian, Guan Zhaozhi and Xu Guozhi in 1979 and formally established in Beijing on November 18, 1980. Qian Xuesen, a scientist in the field of natural science, and Xue Muqiao, an economist in the field of social science, served as the first honorary board member. The purpose of the Society is to unite the practitioners of systems science and systems engineering, to promote the development of systems engineering and prosper the cause of systems science, to promote the popularization of scientific knowledge and the growth of talents in system engineering, in order to improve the level of macro management of science and technology in China and serve the scientific and technological innovation and national economic development.
