On September 27, 2022, the Department of Airports of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) released the "Implementation Guide for the Construction Project Management of Units directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China" (IB-CA-2022-03). The guide was edited by University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, specifically edited by Huang Chongwei, a teacher from the Department of Transportation Systems Engineering of our school. This guide is formulated for the first time by China's civil aviation industry and it is the first time for our university to be selected as a university unit to undertake the civil aviation industry guide and the first time to be the editor-in-chief of civil aviation industry-level guide, which fully reflects the recognition of our university by the national civil aviation industry and enhances the reputation of our transportation engineering discipline in industry.
The promulgation of "Implementation Guide of Construction Project Management for Units directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China" (IB-CA-2022-03) is conducive to standardizing the construction project management behavior of units directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China, improving the project construction management level, ensuring project quality and safety, and improving investment efficiency, which plays an important guiding role for the construction project management of units directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The guide can also be a reference for the development of other technical, such as housing construction, highway construction, railway construction and civil aviation construction in China.
