Professor Wang Jinfeng said in her speech that the competition could not only deepen college students' understanding of industrial engineering expertise, combine professional knowledge with practical ability, consolidate their knowledge in innovative research, but also improve the recognition of industrial engineering from all aspects of the society. Professor Liu Bin, on behalf of the Society, said that the Professional Committee of Logistics and Supply Chain Management would fully support the Industrial Engineering Application and Innovation Competition, constantly expand the influence of the competition in the Yangtze River Delta and even all around the country, and could become a high-level event as soon as possible. Professor Ye Chunming, on behalf of the organizing committee of the competition, welcomed the teachers and students from all the fraternal schools and universities, introduced the current situation of the school's teaching reform, and said that under the situation of the national education reform, the Industrial Engineering Innovation and Application Competition should make a great achievement. Yu Xiping, vice president of Zhenhua Design and Research Institute and Process Design and Research Institute of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd., Li Dan, ergonomic manager and senior engineer of the manufacturing and operation center of SAIC General Motors, Li Wanhua, general manager of Shanghai Xianke Information Technology Co., Ltd., and other enterprise experts were invited to serve as judges.
The competition started in August this year. It actively responded to the difficulties of the epidemic, through the preliminary review of works, the selection of school competitions, and the selection of municipal competitions. It attracted 42 entries from 21 universities, including Shanghai Maritime University, China University of Metrology, South China University of Technology, and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Through the review, 21 groups of works were finally selected and entered the final. The final contest adopts a combination of online and offline defense, and scores are given according to the significance, feasibility, method application, implementation effect and other criteria of the project. 21 teams showed a variety of industrial engineering case project types. Each team member focused on analyzing the feasibility and organizational structure of their own projects in combination with the actual production of the enterprise. The atmosphere was warm.
After fierce competition, 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 9 winning prizes were decided in this competition. Among them, 7 groups of works were selected by our school competition enter the municipal final, and won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 1 honorable mention prize. This competition strives to broaden the scientific and technological innovation vision of college students, explore innovative practice cases, constantly promote the popularization and application of innovative methods and technologies in industrial engineering in the process of quality change, efficiency change and power change, and strive to create a professional, authoritative, and open platform for industrial engineering innovation achievements display and experience exchange.
