On the morning of August 19, the first meeting of the steering committee in 2022 for the Conference on systems science of China (CSSC) was held in the form of offline plus online, with the offline meeting at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the online meeting on the Tencent meeting platform. Members of the steering committee of the Chinese system science conference, Guo Lei, Ding Xiaodong, Di Zengru, Zhang Jifeng, Hong Yiguang, Jia bin, Han zhangang, Duan Xiaojun, Gao Ziyou, Li Zhibin, Gao Yan, Yang Xiaoguang, Gu Chunhua, Zhao Laijun, Zhi Luping and etc., special guests, members of the Secretariat and representatives of the bidding units of the next Chinese system science conference attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by academician Guo Lei, director of the steering committee of the China system science conference.
First of all, the meeting listened to the preparation status of the 6th CSSC from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the organizer of the conference. The organizer reported from three aspects, namely, pre-conference preparation, submission of papers, and next steps. Due to the epidemic, the conference was postponed. The experts discussed in detail about the time and form of the conference, the submission of papers, and the selection of plenary candidates.
Subsequently, the six applicants of the next CSSC defended their applications one by one. After the defense, the Steering Committee discussed and voted, and academician Guo Lei announced on behalf of the Steering Committee of the CSSC that Chongqing Jiaotong University and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications would jointly host the 7th CSSC, Nantong University would host the Frontiers of System Science Forum 2023, and Anhui Polytechnic University would host the 8th CSSC.
President Ding Xiaodong summarized and analyzed the working progress of the 6th CSSC and promised that the university would overcome all difficulties and do its best to hold the 6th CSSC.
