On August 10, 2022, the 2022 MPAcc / MF / MT summer camp of Business School USST for national excellent college students was successfully held online. This summer camp has received wide attention from society and outstanding college students have applied enthusiastically. Zhang Yongqing, Vice Dean of Business School and Deputy Director of Professional Degree Education Center of USST, Song Liangrong, leader of MPAcc discipline, Yu Qianlong, Deputy Director of MPAcc program, Gao Guangkuo, Director of MF program, Lei Lianghai, Director of MT program, Tian Fa, Director of Department of Public Finance and Taxation, Wang Yonglian, Deputy Director of Administrative Office of Professional Degree Education Center and other teachers' representatives, teachers in charge of admissions and 52 students from various universities including “985” and “211” project universities across China participated in the Summer camp. The summer camp included the opening ceremony, introduction of the school, campus life, scholarship and employment, lectures by famous scholars, program introduction and online face-to-face interactive communication.
The host, Dr. Yu Qianlong, deputy director of MPAcc program, firstly welcomed all students to this summer camp and invited Prof. Zhang Yongqing, vice dean of Business School, to introduce the basic status quo of the school.
As the leader of the school, Prof. Zhang Yongqing mainly introduced the history of the Business School, the current status quo of discipline development and the operation of Professional Degree Education Center in detail. He hoped that all walks of life and campers could have a comprehensive understanding of the discipline development and professional degree education, and also wished a complete success of the MPAcc/MF/MT national outstanding college students summer camp held by the Business School!
After that, Mr. Wang Yonglian, Deputy Director of Administrative Office of the Center, introduced the campus life, scholarship and employment of USST in detail. The beautiful and splendid campus environment, rich campus activities for students, multi-level and multiple scholarship policies, illustrated with data and facts the soft and hard strength and comprehensive competitiveness of the university in cultivating students. Mr. Wang Yonglian sincerely hoped that the students would be admitted to the master program of the Business School, USST.
Rao Yanchao, associate professor of accounting of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, gave a lecture on Accounting Intelligence and Digital Transformation of Finance, illustrating to the campers about the content and transformation path of accounting intelligence and financial digitalization, bringing them completely new concepts and exploration of frontiers of modern enterprise financial system, embracing Internet, cloud computing and other technologies.
Zhang Xiaodan from the Shanghai branch of Dahua (Beijing) Tax Law Firm gave a lecture on Prospects of Tax Consulting Industry and Talent Cultivation to the campers, introducing tax audit and tax planning in detail and discussing the development trend and strategy suggestions of the tax consulting industry.
In the afternoon, campers from different universities interacted in parallel sessions of MPAcc, MF and MT. Campers asked questions on their concerns, and relevant teachers provided detailed and patient answers. We sincerely hope that the campers with related professional background and strong interest in accounting, finance and taxation will continue to improve their creativity and innovative ability, and enhance their professionalism and academic research ability. The online activities were lively and communicative!
This MPAcc/MF/MT summer camp is held to broaden students' academic horizons and deepen the understanding of the MPAcc/MF/MT program at the Business School of USST, and it is also one of the important initiatives of the School to promote the recruitment of MPAcc/MF/MT professional degree master students and attract outstanding students.
