China COSCO Shipping Group Co., Ltd. was reorganized from China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation and China Shipping (Group) Corporation. It is a super-large state-owned enterprise directly managed by the central government. COSCO SHIPPING's perfect global services have built up its network service advantages and brand advantages. The upstream and downstream industrial chains of shipping, wharfs, logistics, shipping finance, ship repair and building have formed a relatively complete industrial structure system. As of February 1, 2022, China COSCO Shipping has a fleet of 112.17 million dwt/1,384 vessels, ranking first in the world. Among them, the container fleet has a scale of 304TEU/507 vessels, ranking among the top in the world; the dry bulk fleet has a capacity of 43.39 million dwt/426 vessels, the oil and gas fleet has a capacity of 29.37 million dwt/224 vessels, and the general cargo special fleet has a capacity of 5.14 million dwt. tons/160 ships, all ranking first in the world.
COSCO SHIPPING Group's 2022 special training course (the third phase) on learning and implementing the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in June for three days. Prof. Qin Gang, Prof. Zhu Yan, Prof. Cao Li, Prof. Xu Pinghua, Prof. Cao Pengfei, Prof. Jia Jianfang, from the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, Prof. Fan Chongjun from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Mr. Chen Shi from China Classification Society, etc., provided thematic training for the senior management of COSCO SHIPPING. They respectively discussed the construction of the party, political and economic situation analysis, state-owned enterprise reform, digital transformation, green shipping and other topics combined with the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC.
Prof. Fan Chongjun gave a training on the theme of Digital Transformation of Enterprises in the Digital Economy from 14:00-17:00 pm on June 23. First, he introduced the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech Building Up the Strength, Quality, and Size of China's Digital Economy, the content of the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Deep Integration of Informationization and Industrialization Development Plan and the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Digital Economy, and the development status of international and domestic digital economy and industrial digitalization. Then he analyzed and affirmed the achievements of COSCO SHIPPING in digital transformation in recent years, expounded the different modes of group management and the corresponding digital blueprint, COSCO SHIPPING's digitalization, the idea of transformation strategic planning. Finally, he concluded and gave six development suggestions based on the business characteristics of COSCO SHIPPING and the current situation of digitalization.
