The EDP Center Conducts Online Exchanges on Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running School with Woosong University in South Korea

On the afternoon of June 10, Beijing time, the EDP Center of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the School of International Education of South Korea Woosong University held an online video conference. Liu Nian, dean of School of International Education of Woosong University, Ge Yuhui, executive deputy director of EDP Center of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, President Xu Qin of Kunshan 699 Training Center and other relevant personnel attended the meeting, which was presided over by Xu Qin.

At the meeting, Professor Ge Yuhui introduced the development concept, development status, discipline advantages, characteristic majors, and talent training mode of EDP Center of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. It is pointed out that international cooperation in running schools is of great significance to both sides, and both sides should uphold the concept of sincere cooperation, innovate cooperation models, give full play to their complementary advantages, expand cooperation areas, and improve the level of cooperation under the premise of signing the cooperation framework.

Dean Liu Nian introduced the basic situation of Woosong University. And Woosong University has flexible teaching operating model, founded in 65 years, has been committed to education internationalization and characteristics, and the United States, China, Europe and other countries and regions of more than 200 universities established the depth of cooperation, the school passed the AACSB certification, in 2018 had won the Chinese Ministry of Education Overseas Studies Service Centre of outstanding overseas partner award. Dean Liu expressed his willingness to jointly create convenient and excellent international cooperation projects through in-depth cooperation with the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology to promote the development of education on both sides.

Subsequently, the two sides had a preliminary discussion on the cooperation mode, training mode, course content, enrollment and management mechanism and other issues, and reached a lot of consensuses.
