At present, the COVID-19 epidemic in Shanghai has entered the critical phase, which has brought great difficulties to the teaching and examination close to the end of the semester. All teachers of the Department of Transportation System Engineering of the USST-BS actively responded to the call of the university and the school and held a conference on student teaching on the afternoon of May 10, 2022 via the online Tencent Meeting, focusing on the undergraduate graduation design defense work of the class of 2022 and the online final examination of spring 2022. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Liu Weiwei, Deputy Director for teaching, and all teachers studied the Guidance on Final Examination Arrangement of Non-Examination Week Examination Courses in Spring Semester 2022 together, and had a vivid discussion on the notes of online final examinations, undergraduate graduation design defense arrangement and the promotion of graduate employment work, and put forward many valuable opinions and suggestions for the smooth promotion of teaching work.
After the meeting, all the Chinese Communist Party member teachers of the department held an online organizational life meeting themed We can definitely win the battle against the epidemic in Shanghai. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Yao Jiao, the secretary of the Party Branch, and focused on the study and implementation of the decision of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee on grasping and implementing the key work of epidemic prevention and control. The branch teachers, on the basis of collective study of the relevant conference spirit and the actual situation of Shanghai university teachers fighting against the epidemic, discussed the topics of abide by the professional ethics of university teachers and do a good job, actively participate in voluntary activities against the epidemic and adjust the positive mentality and stop bad emotions.
