On April 19, 2021, the first meeting of the 8th System Science Discipline Consultative Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council was ceremoniously held at USST.
Ding Xiaodong, Jia Bin, Hong Yiguang, Han Zhangang, Duan Xiaojun, members of the System Science Discipline Consultative Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Wu Zhong, vice-president of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Gu Chunhua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of USST, Zhao Laijun, dean of Business School, Gao Yan, head of System Science, and teacher representatives attended the meeting.
The participating experts conducted in-depth discussions and communications on the content after listening to the discussion draft of the first-level discipline development report of system science. The meeting clarified the connotation of system science, emphasized the relationship between system science and artificial intelligence, paid attention to the intersection of system science and other disciplines, especially the humanities, and focused on the future development of system science. The meeting formulated a clear plan for the completion nodes and content of each link in the next stage of the development report. At the same time, the meeting also discussed the issue of publishing system science series textbooks, undergraduate professional knowledge system of system science, and curriculum outline of system science.
The first meeting of the 8th System Science Discipline Consultative Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council achieved complete success.
