On the morning of April 9, 2021, the Shanghai Logistics and Supply Chain Entrepreneurs Association delegation visited Business School to discuss cooperation between school and association. The meeting was held in Conference Room 506. Jin Xiling, President of Shanghai Logistics and Supply Chain Entrepreneurs Association, Chen Yongjun, Executive Vice President, Li Ping, Director of Training Center, Huang Jiahua, President of Hazardous Chemicals Branch, Xu Yaohua, President of Shanghai VCI Supply Chain Club and others total 7 members, together with Zhao Laijun, Dean of Business School, Ge Yuhui, Executive Deputy Director of EDP Center, Zhang Baoming, Director of Integrated Office of the EDP Center, Wang Yonglian, Director of the Office of Specialty Degree Center, Shu Yiming, Director of Undergraduate Teaching Office, and other relevant teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was held by Ge Yuhui.

 At the meeting, Ge Yuhui first introduced the leaders and welcomed the Shanghai Logistics and Supply Chain Entrepreneurs Association on behalf of the Business School.

 Later, Zhao Laijun introduced the basic situation of the business school from the aspects of history, school scale, discipline construction, internationalization, etc. He pointed out that logistics and supply chain management is an important research direction of our school. Business school was qualified to awarded master's degree in logistics engineering to export a large number of logistics related talents to enterprises every year. Zhao Laijun mentioned that based on the principle of extensive cooperation, we can make good use of the superior resources of both sides, and explore innovative cooperation modes from the direction of combining talent training with practical teaching, cooperation between schools and enterprises, integration of industry and education, and so on.

 Jin Xiling thanked the business school for its warm reception. President Jin introduced the development of the association, stressed the importance of supply chain to national and social development, and hoped to achieve seamless connection with industry, university and research through cooperation with the business school, to promote logistics and supply chain industry to achieve a qualitative leap; to improve the quality of logistics industry employees, transport more high-quality personnel; jointly give advice for enterprise development and provide support for enterprise transformation through cooperation.

 Chen Yongjun proposed that the school and the association should explore the new talent training mode, explore the new teaching mode through curriculum optimization, case innovation, and strengthen the research in logistics, supply chain and dangerous chemicals through the cooperation of the school and association, promote the standardization of logistics and supply chain industry, and contribute to the development of industry and society.

 Zhang Baoming briefly introduces the development history, service positioning and featured curriculum of EDP center, and emphasizes that the positioning of EDP center is to train senior talents for enterprises and society through the customization of courses. Wang Yonglian introduced the situation of specialty degree center, and analyzed the feasibility of cooperation between specialty degree center and logistics and supply chain entrepreneur association. Shu Yiming introduced situation of undergraduate teaching and integration of production and teaching.

 Li Ping interpreted in depth the mode of training practical and skilled talents in Shanghai, and explained in detail the title sponsorship problem of production, education and research. The skilled talented persons jointly trained through university and enterprise, whether from the technology or the sense of belonging are the talented people really needed by the enterprises.

 Huang Jiahua analyzed the current situation of the domestic hazardous chemicals market and pointed out that the industry has a strong demand for talents. The training of talents not only has certificate but also needs to have practical experience. The systematic management of talents can be regarded as a direction of emergency management. At the same time, he put forward their own views on the future development trend of logistics and supply chain, human resources’ help on logistics industry scientific salary.

 Xu Yaohua pointed out that the current supply chain talent shortage is great, and enterprise digital transformation’s demand for high-end talent is huge. He pointed out that the curriculum system of cooperative running schools should increase the proportion of actual practice, hoping to increase the students' recognition of the curriculum and expand the influence of both sides by combining Shanghai VCI supply chain’s existing teachers and project experience with business school to develop courses.

 The participants discussed and studied in depth on logistics and supply chain, hazardous chemicals management and cooperation between two sides. Finally, the two sides reached a consensus on strengthening the comprehensive cooperation between school and association in training, MBA, industry school, the emergency management and so on, aiming to promote the common development of both sides and achieve win-win results through the sharing of resources and complementary advantages.
