Updated:2019-04-03

In order to deepen industrial engineering undergraduates’ understanding of current supply-chain management, warehouse management, inventory, etc., and accelerate the pace of Professional Construction of Industrial Engineering Application-oriented, Associate Professor Qinming LIU, deputy director of the Department of Industrial Engineering, invited Mr. Junhui HE, the e-commerce storage optimization industry expert, to USST to hold an open class on warehouse management for industrial engineering undergraduates, on March 22nd, 2019. Junior and senior undergraduates majoring in Industrial Engineering participated in this one-day open class.

This open class explained in detail the optimization steps of the four aspects of warehouse management for students, and used cases to help students master the skills. Through case analysis, a series of methods are proposed on how to improve space utilization. For example, improve picking efficiency through product placement, save wasted time through on-site management, and adjust warehouse layout through operational data.
