一、论坛简介

          本论坛旨在为系统科学学科领域的海内外优秀青年学者搭建学术交流平台。论坛将邀请相关领域青年学者通过院士专题报告会和分论坛学术研讨会等形式,围绕国际学术前沿,探讨学科热点问题,促进学术交流与合作,为海内外优秀人才搭建交流与合作的平台,促进学科交叉与学术创新,增进相互合作与互信,加深对上海理工大学的全面了解,为我校高水平大学建设汇聚全球英才。论坛将邀请相关领域知名院士专家做专题报告,提供青年学者与院士专家面对面交流的平台。

二、系统科学学科简介

        上海理工大学是国内最早开展系统科学研究的单位之一,其研究工作辐射管理科学与工程、工程管理、金融工程等学科。1995年,本学科成为原机械工业部重点学科,是当时全国唯一的系统科学省、部级重点学科。我校系统科学于2008年成为上海市重点学科,2015年成为上海市高峰学科,2018年成为上海市双一流建设学科。通过多年的学科建设,已经建立起一支实力较强,在国内外有较大影响的研究队伍,在教育部第四轮学科评估中名列前茅。

        本学科目前已有科研平台:国家级经济管理实验教学中心(教育部,2006年)和上海系统科学研究院(上海市科委,2005年)。目前本学科与德国卡尔斯鲁扼大学、慕尼黑工业大学、西班牙胡安卡洛斯大学、新加坡国立大学、国立台湾大学和香港科技大学建立了长期密切的国际合作。学科成员已有全国优秀教师、东方学者等著名教授5人,省部级以上人才10人,团队曾获上海市科技进步奖等省部级科技奖项。本学科集中了上海系统科学院一批思想活跃,勇于创新的青年科研人才,团队青年骨干基本主持过国家自然科学基金资助项目和以第一作者发表过高水平的SCI论文,是未来系统科学界的希望所在。整个学科成员在科学研究中始终秉承系统科学思想,应用系统科学方法,取得了明显的社会效益。

 系统科学、管理学、经济学、金融学、社会学、物流学等。

四、申请条件

        1、年龄不超过40周岁;

        2、在海内外知名高校取得或即将取得博士学历学位,学术思想活跃,具有良好的学术背景、学术造诣。

        3、在所从事研究的学科领域取得一定成绩或具有良好发展潜力,35岁以下优先。

七、报名流程

        1.2019年4月1日前,在线注册提交参会申请(微信扫描下方二维码),简历亦可发送至下方联系人邮箱报名。

        2.2019年4月8日前,学校对申请人进行资格审核并发放论坛邀请函。

八、论坛资助

        1.论坛期间统一安排食宿,费用由学校承担。

        2.结合应邀人员因参会往返上海所实际发生交通费用,学校按实给予交通补助(限飞机经济舱或高铁二等座,需提供票据原件)。交通补助上限为:欧美地区1.5万/人,亚太地区0.8万元/人,国内(含台港澳)0.5万元/人。

First Hujiang International Young Scholars Forum of University  of Shanghai for Science and Technology & International Young  Scholars Forum of Shanghai Universities

--------Special Session on System Science

(April 19-21, 2019)

1. Introduction

 This forum exclusively designs to build an academic communication  platform for outstanding young scholars in the field of System Science.  The forum aims to invite young scholars from relevant fields to discuss  the famous topics of the subject on the international academic  frontiers, promote academic communication and cooperation, and build a  platform for talents to communicate and cooperate through the  academician special report and sub-forum academic seminar. It will also  promote interdisciplinary and academic innovation, enhance mutual  cooperation and mutual trust, deepen the comprehensive understanding of  USST (University of Shanghai for Science and Technology), and gather  global talents to build high-level university of USST. The forum will  also invite well-known academicians and experts in relevant fields to  make special reports, and provide a face-to-face communication platform  for young scholars and academicians.

2. Introduction of System Science

 USST is one of the earliest units in China to conduct System Science  research. The academic discipline includes Management Science and  Engineering, Engineering Management, Financial Engineering, etc. In  1995, System Science became the key discipline of the former Ministry of  Machinery Industry, and it was the only provincial and ministerial key  discipline in China at that time. USST’s System Science was included in  the Key Discipline Construction Plan of Shanghai in 2008, was approved  as Peak Discipline of Shanghai in 2015, and was included in Shanghai  Double First-Class Construction Discipline in 2018. Through years’  construction of the discipline, we have built a research team with  strong strength and great influence at home and abroad. The discipline  ranked third in the Fourth Round of Discipline Evolution by the Ministry  of Education, which ranked top compared with other traditional schools.

 The currently research platforms in our discipline include: National  Economic Management Experimental Teaching Center (Ministry of Education,  2006) and Shanghai Academy of Systems Science (Shanghai Science and  Technology Commission, 2005). At present, the discipline has established  long-term close international cooperation with Karlsruhe University,  Munich University of Technology, Juan Carlos University of Spain,  National University of Singapore, National Taiwan University and Hong  Kong University of Science and Technology. The discipline has 5 famous  professors of National Outstanding Teachers and Eastern Scholars, and 10  talents in provincial and ministerial level. The team has won  provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards such as  Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. The discipline has a  group of young scientific research talents who are active and innovative  in the Shanghai Academy of Systems. The team’s youth backbones who are  the future of System Science Community have basically hosted the  National Natural Science Foundation funded project and published  high-level SCI papers by the first author. The whole discipline members  have achieved obvious benefits through adhering to the thought of system  science and applying the method of system science in scientific  research.

4. Application conditions

 (1) Under 40 years old.

 (2) Acquired or will soon obtain a doctoral degree at a well-known  university at home and abroad, with active academic ideas, good academic  background and academic attainments.

 (3) Have achieved certain results in the research area or have good  development potential. Priority is given to those under 35 years of age.  Prefer age under 35.

 (1) Before April 1, 2019, complete online registration and submit  application (Scan the OR code below through WeChat, the resumes can also  be sent to the contact e-mail below to apply.

 (2) Before April 8, 2019, the university will review the applicant's qualifications and issue invitations to the forum.

8. Forum Funding

 (1) The accommodation is arranged uniformly during the forum, and the expenses are borne by the university.

 (2) The university will provide transportation subsidies according to  the participants’ actual transportation expenses due to attendance to  and from Shanghai. The upper limit of transportation subsidies is:  15,000/person from Europe and America, 8000/person from Asia-Pacific,  and 5000/person from China (including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao).

  

Introduction of USST

 USST is mainly engaged in engineering, with coordinated development of  multiple disciplines of Engineering, Science, Economics, Management,  Literature, Law, Art, etc. It is a municipal key construction of the  applied research university in Shanghai. In July 2016, the university  became the national defense characteristic university built by national  defense science and technology industry bureau and Shanghai government.  In 2018, the university became a pilot unit of the construction of  “High-Level Local Universities” in Shanghai.

 Under the important strategic opportunity period of national  construction of “First-Class Universities and Disciplines” and the  construction of “High-Level Local Universities” in Shanghai, USST is  taking the three major international laboratories of Future Optics,  Intelligent Manufacturing, Medical Equipment and Rehabilitation  Engineering and a unique platform for System Management as the carrier  to construct five first-class disciplines of Optical Engineering, System  Science, Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics, Mechanical  Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. USST will seize opportunities  to reform and innovate, accelerate the construction of high-level  universities, promote the development of connotation, and strive to  build the university into a first-class science and engineering  university with distinctive features.
